ChainCensus is a crypto data source. We build live indexes, trackers and tools — starting with the Crypto Fees Index — and publish a small number of carefully made guides that explain what the numbers mean.
Why trust the numbers
Three commitments, checkable on every page:
- Every figure links to a public source. Our datasets are collected from open endpoints anyone can query, and each data page documents its exact formulas on a methodology page.
- We say when data is not live. Estimates are marked
~. If a page ever shows fallback values, its masthead says "sample data" instead of "data live". - No pay-to-play. Some ranking pages contain affiliate links — always disclosed on the page, never affecting scores or placement. Data pages carry no advertising.
Who makes this
The data desk is run by Daniel Merritt. Fetchers, formulas and this site are open about how they work — changes that affect a published figure are recorded in the data changelog.
ChainCensus is an education and data resource, not an investment adviser. Nothing here is financial advice; crypto assets are highly volatile.
